HZSS And CNOOC Gas & Power Group Successfully Delivered The First Domestically Produced Large-Scale Wet Natural Gas Cooler (Pche)

At the end of 2021, the first domestically produced large-scale high-efficiency compact wet natural gas cooler (PCHE) developed by HZSS and CNOOC Gas & Power Group Co., Ltd. was officially delivered after passing the CCS classification society inspection and certification, and was installed on the CEPA platform of a gas field of CNOOC (China) Donghai Xihu Oil and Gas Operation Company.

At the end of 2021, the first domestically produced large-scale high-efficiency compact wet natural gas cooler (PCHE) developed by HZSS and CNOOC Gas and Power Group Co., Ltd. was officially delivered after passing the CCS classification society inspection and certification , and was installed on a gas field CEPA platform of CNOOC (China) East China Sea West Lake Oil and Gas Operation Company. This marks the official mass production of HZSS's large-scale printed plate heat exchangers in the offshore field.
The large-scale printed plate heat exchanger used in this project was jointly developed by HZSS and CNOOC Gas and Power Group. The joint project team carried out scientific research and innovation in PCHE structural optimization design, material selection, diffusion welding process and product inspection, and achieved a number of first-of-its-kind key technical results, including wet natural gas condensation flow heat transfer optimization design simulation technology and ultra-large full-size micro-deformed stainless steel plate diffusion welding process. The high efficiency, compactness and extreme working condition resistance of PCHE heat exchange technology will promote the localization of key components of LNG/oil and gas platforms and significantly reduce the cost of independent supply and maintenance of key equipment.
The performance and quality of this large wet gas cooler have been unanimously recognized by the leaders and experts of CNOOC. At the same time, the successful development of domestic PCHE is also of great value to promote the localization of core components of FSRU, FLNG and FGSS systems. The successful delivery of this industrial-grade large wet natural gas cooler marks that my country has achieved complete independent control in the field of high-efficiency heat exchanger technology for offshore oil and gas platforms.
